SupremeSoft acquires rights to Grades for Students program from PenguinWorks, Cincinnati, OH, 7/1/01 - PenguinWorks, LLC and SupremeSoft announced today that PenguinWorks, LLC is transferring all rights to the
Grades for Students program back to SupremeSoft. Grades For Students will be rereleased as a US $10 shareware computer
program designed to allow students to keep track of course, instructor, assignment, and test information. Grades For Students includes a Grade Point Average calculation function, a reminder function, and a unique
mathematical algorithm to predict a course grade - the Grade Prediction Featuretm . To date over 1,000,000 copies of Grades For Students have been downloaded since the program was available.
SupremeSoft will take ownership of the Grades For Students name and
associated trademarks as well the maintenance of future versions of the program. "When we transferred the rights to the Grades for Students program to PenguinWorks it was with the understanding that the
capabilities of the program would be expanded through the use of the Web. Unfortunately PenguinWorks was ultimately unsuccessful in their Just for Students initiative. SupremeSoft started seeing attempted
downloads of the Grades for Students program increase as soon as the Just for Students web site went offline. At that time we started negotiating with PenguinWorks to reacquire the rights to the program. We hope to
continue the development path that we were on several years ago, increasing the number of Grades for Students installations.", said Joe Skyler, SupremeSoft Vice President of Marketing. About SupremeSoft SupremeSoft is a software development and consulting company, founded in 1983. SupremeSoft has developed several innovative software
