Grades for Students was previously known as Grades for Windows. The second beta version of Grades for Students provides significant new functionality over the first beta version. New features in this beta version include the addition of assignment information, assignment/test weighting, a pending assignments view, and an e-mail based assignment reminder system. With this new functionality, a student can use the program to help prioritize and track pending assignments. The e-mail based assignment reminder system provides a more convenient way of being notified of pending assignments. As previously announced, Grades for Students will work in conjunction with a world wide web site that is designed for  students and provides access to various educational resources. This beta version has features which link to corresponding features found at the web site to enhance students' overall experience with use of the web site. Further information about the web site and features will be available when the web site is officially launched. Response to the initial beta version of Grades for Students has been extremely positive since it was released at the end of October 1998. The SupremeSoft web site alone has recorded over 100 downloads per week of the beta version indicating a large interest in the features Grades for Students provides. The program permits the tracking of course information, assignment and/or test information, instructor information, and assignment and/or test reminders.
